USM AND MCPF JOIN TO HANDLE SOCIAL SYMPTOMS OF KELANTAN STUDENTS

As an effort to raise awareness of social problems in Kelantan and Malaysia to school students, the Forensic Science Programme, School of Health Sciences, USM in collaboration with the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Kelantan has organized a Forensic Science Lecture Series programme on 22 September 2025.

This program was not only an educational effort, but also a proactive step in crime prevention efforts, especially among secondary school students in Kelantan. Social problems such as bullying, drug abuse, promiscuity, cybercrime and smoking are increasingly worrying and require a more comprehensive and effective approach. Through this programme, students were not only exposed to the role of forensic science in solving crimes but were also given awareness of the adverse effects of social problems, as well as how to make the right choices in daily life.
