AUDIOLOGY PROGRAM STUDENTS REACH OUT TO THE ORANG ASLI COMMUNITY IN KUALA BETIS, GUA MUSANG
The Audiology Program, School of Health Sciences, organised the "Peduli Sebelum Tuli 4.0" activity in conjunction with the Orang Asli Health Screening Program held at Kampung Orang Asli (KOA) Kuala Betis, Gua Musang, on April 23, 2026.

This program is a part of the Audiology Program's SULAM 4.0 series, which involves a collaboration between Best Hearing Aid Centre (BHACKB) Sdn. Bhd. and the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) Gua Musang, Kelantan. A total of 200 food baskets, donated by BHACKB and YB Dato’ Hj. Mohd Syahbuddin bin Hj. Hashim, Member of the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly (N.45 Galas), were also provided to the program participants.


The main activity of this program was free hearing screenings, which included ear canal examinations, middle ear status evaluations, and hearing level tests. Additionally, Mr. Rozi A/L Aso, the Batin (Village Head) of RPS Kuala Betis, noted that such programs improve healthcare access for the KOA community and expressed his hope that it could be held annually. Organisation of this activity is hoped to raise awareness among the KOA community regarding the importance of hearing and general healthcare.
