The team, led by Dr. Nurhidanatasha Abu Bakar and consisting of undergraduate students, Miss Nur Alya Nabihah Mohd Zaidi and Miss Chin En Yee, successfully pitched two innovative, research-based ideas and brought home two Gold Medals.
Their projects focused on:
1) The use of local medicinal plants in the search for novel antimalarials

These innovations not only address pressing issues in global health but also highlight the potential of natural resources in providing safe and effective solutions.
Adding to this remarkable achievement, Nur Alya Nabihah Mohd Zaidi was shortlisted to deliver a live pitch in front of the panel jury for the prestigious Special Diamond Award, further showcasing the creativity and excellence of our young researchers.

This success reflects the strong commitment of the School of Health Sciences to nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and research excellence among students. Congratulations to Dr. Nurhidanatasha, Nur Alya Nabihah, and Chin En Yee for their dedication and inspiring achievement!
