PPSK-NIOSH: A COMPETENCY COURSE WITH EOH STUDENTS

On February 26, 2023, a group of 40 students from the Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) Programme at the School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, participated in the Contractor Safety Passport System-All Risk (CSPS-AR) program. This initiative was part of NIOSH Malaysia's corporate social responsibility efforts and was organized under the guidance of Dr. Nurul Izzah Abdul Samad, a lecturer from the EOH Programme. The informative session was conducted by Mr. Nasiruddin bin Samsuddin, the Training Coordinator representing NIOSH Wilayah Pantai Timur. Prof. Dr. Wan Rosli Wan Ishak, Dean of School of Health Sciences had the honour of inaugurating the program with his opening speech.

CSPS-AR serves as an induction course specifically designed for contractor and vendor employees seeking basic training in occupational health and safety. This program grants the participants with a competency certification that will be of great value as they enter the industrial training and work environment in the future. The participants wish to express their gratitude to the School of Health Sciences, USM and NIOSH Malaysia for providing them with this valuable opportunity.
