Assalamualaikum w.b.t and a good day to all PPSK members,

First of all, as the Chairman of the PPSK Occupational Safety and Health Committee, I would like to express my greatest appreciation to the PPSK Occupational Safety and Health Committee which consists of a Secretary, 8 Employer/Management Representatives and 7 Employee Representatives who have been effortlessly managing various matters related to occupational safety and health at PPSK with passion and full of responsibility. They are always willing to improve their performance, commitment and seriousness in the implementation of occupational safety and health management system to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all PPSK staff.

PPSK Occupational Safety and Health Committee is always ready to:

  1. assist in providing safety and health rules and safe work systems;
  2. review the effectiveness of safety and health programs;
  3. conduct studies on trends in accidents, near miss, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisonings or occupational diseases occurring in the workplace, and report to the employer any unsafe or unhealthy conditions or practices in the workplace together with recommendations for corrective action; and
  4. review the safety and health policy and make recommendations to the employer for any revision of the policy.

In line with the purpose, this website entity was created as a platform for sharing the following documents and information for the reference of PPSK staff in line with those used throughout USM, namely:

  1. the Act and all subsidiary legislation made under the Act;
  2. industry codes of practice and guidelines relating to the elimination of risks to safety and health associated with the type of work performed in the workplace, and any other relevant codes of practice, by providing relevant training;
  3. information on the safety plan and its implementation, and any proposed changes to the safety plan that affect the safety and health of employees;
  4. technical information on safety and health hazards and the preventive measures necessary to eliminate or reduce them;
  5. information on operating procedures, work systems, and materials for use at work and other relevant data relating to safety and health; and
  6. such other information as may be directed by Management from time to time

May we all be able to work at PPSK in a safe, healthy and happy condition always.

I would like to thank the PPSK Occupational Safety and Health Committee members for the continuous effort in monitoring the Safety and Health of PPSK.
