Fostering Industry Learning Through Alumni Engagement

On May 30th, 2024, a productive day unfolded at PETRONAS Penapisan Terengganu (PPT) as the PETRONAS Positive Alliance towards Community Engagement (PACE) program culminated in a Real Plant Experience (RPE) at the company's Centre of HSSE Excellence. This collaborative initiative, facilitated by alumni engagement, exemplifies the valuable connection between academic institutions and industry leaders led by our alumna, Amirah Syazana.

The program provided students from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) program, led by Mr. Mohd Nasrom, with firsthand exposure to real-world practices and challenges encountered within the oil and gas sector. This immersive experience bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, better preparing these future professionals for their upcoming careers.

The program's success highlights the crucial role of alumni engagement in enriching student learning outcomes. Alumni involvement fosters a more informed and well-equipped workforce, ultimately benefiting both industry and society.
