Sports Massage Certification Course: Collaboration between ESS and Equal Fitness Sports Massage

On May 17th and 18th, the Exercise & Sports Science (ESS) Programme successfully organized a Sports Massage Level 1 certification course. The event was led by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Shazlin Shaharudin and the ESS student committee. This course was the culmination of our MoU with Equal Fitness Sports Massage, which provided the training workshop to 28 ESS students and 2 ESS alumni. As part of the MoU, the company also donated 3 massage tables as an in-kind contribution to ESS.

During the certification course, ESS students learned various massage techniques used in sports. To become certified as a Level 1 sports masseur, they must complete 60 hours of hands-on training. ESS supports this entrepreneurial endeavor by providing space for the students to complete their hands-on training. While they work towards their certification, they are also being trained to generate their own income. Therefore, we invite all PPSK staff and students to try the massage services provided by our students!
